A freshly decorated room can still feel unfinished where the walls meet the floor. If you want a defined border without a heavily curved profile, Square Edge Two V Groove skirting offers a straight top edge with two recessed V-shaped lines.
A little more detail than plain square edge
The twin grooves introduce a decorative rhythm while keeping the overall outline simple. It is a useful option to consider for a living room, bedroom or hallway where you want the joinery to contribute to the design rather than disappear into the background.
Imagine it painted alongside a muted blue wall or a warm neutral scheme: the profile provides the detail, while your chosen paint colour sets the mood. These are decorating suggestions, not supplied colour options.
Choose the height for your project
Univers supplies this moisture-resistant MDF profile in 95mm, 120mm, 144mm and 166mm heights. All variants are 18mm thick and 3050mm long. Quantity one means one 3050mm board.
Before choosing a height, mark it on the wall with removable tape. Check how it sits beside door surrounds, radiator pipes and furniture. This is more useful than judging the size from a close-up product image alone.
Primed or Unprimed
Both Primed and Unprimed finishes are available. Choose according to your preparation and painting plans; a primed board is not the same as a fully finished, top-coated board. Moisture-resistant MDF is not waterproof. Prepare and seal cut edges and follow the instructions for your chosen coating and fixing products.
Plan the boards before ordering
Measure each wall run separately and sketch a cutting list using the 3050mm board length. Allow for corner cuts and avoid assuming every offcut will suit another wall. Check your selected height and finish before placing the order.
