Small details can change the character of a room. Our Square Edge Two Grooves MDF Moisture-Resistant Skirting Board pairs a straight square top with two recessed horizontal grooves. It is a distinctive choice when you want a little more detail than a plain board, without an ornate traditional moulding.
Why choose a two-groove profile?
The twin grooves introduce a repeated shadow line above a broad, flat lower face. That combination gives the skirting definition while keeping its overall shape simple. Consider it for contemporary living rooms, dining spaces and hallways where you want the joinery to complement, rather than compete with, your furniture.
This is the Two Grooves profile, not the Two V Groove profile. Check the product images when choosing so you get the groove shape you prefer.
Room inspiration: petrol blue and terracotta
White-painted skirting can provide a crisp contrast against a rich petrol-blue wall. Pair it with warm oak flooring, terracotta seating and amber accessories for a colourful but welcoming space. Keep the stretch immediately above the skirting uncluttered so the twin lines remain part of the room's detail.

Four heights to suit your scheme
Each board is 3050mm long and 18mm thick. Available heights are 95mm, 120mm, 144mm and 166mm, with Primed and Unprimed options at every height.
A 95mm board offers a more restrained visual border; 144mm or 166mm makes a stronger feature of the profile. Before choosing, mark the height on your wall and compare it with your door architraves, sockets and furniture. The best height is the one that works with the proportions of your room.
Choosing your finish
Choose Primed if you prefer a prepared starting point for your decorative paint finish. Choose Unprimed if you want to handle the preparation and priming yourself. Primed does not mean fully finished; follow the guidance for your chosen paint system before installation and decorating.
Plan the lengths before ordering
Measure each wall run separately, allowing for door openings and corners. Plan how those measurements fit into 3050mm lengths, and allow for cutting waste. Check your delivery postcode and the applicable delivery charge before completing your order.
